Cladding Inconel
Based on API 6A standard for certain material class inconel overlay (cladding) should be applied to make carbon alloy resist against corrosion, this reinforcement is according to NACE MR 0175 for sour service. Therefore HH material class is widely used in oil & Gas equipment.
For API 6D valves cladding is needed to make gates, plug, cage, seats durable against corrosion using stellite grade 6.
